Jolianne Fortin (Kenogami, QC) qualified for the 2024 New Holland Canadian Junior Championships playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-7 against Cassidy Blades (Truro, NS). of the 2024 New Holland Canadian Junior Championships in Fort McMurray, Alberta;
Fortin finished 6-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fortin lost 15-1 to Allyson MacNutt (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 4-2 win over Jenna Pomedli (Saskatoon, SK). Fortin won 7-6 against Shaela Hayward (Carman, MB), then won 8-3 against Zoey Terrick (Winnipeg, MB) and 10-4 against Ella Lenentine (Summerside, PEI). Fortin went on to lose 10-3 against Emily Bowles (Victoria, BC). Fortin responded with a 7-4 win over Claire Dubinsky (Kakabeka Falls, NO). Fortin won 9-3 against Ava Acres (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
Fortin earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the New Holland Canadian Junior Championships , moving up 40 spots the World Ranking Standings into 150th place overall with 8.438 total points. Fortin ranks 150th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.438 points earned so far this season.
