Peter Corner (Brampton, ON) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-5 against Jean-Michel Menard (Québec City/Gatineau, QC). Horning responded with a 6-2 win over Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC). Horning won 6-1 against James Kirkness (Winnipeg, MB). Horning went on to lose 9-6 against Don Spriggs (Portage la Prairie, CAN). Horning lost 5-3 to Jim Sullivan (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Horning did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Horning ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
