Backe won 6-5 against British Columbia's Kirsten Fox, then won 8-6 against Moe Meguro (Karuizawa, JPN). Backe went on to lose 4-3 against Dailene Sivertson (Victoria, BC). Backe lost 8-1 to British Columbia's Colleen Hannah in their final qualifying round match.
