Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) won 7-5 over Bob Ursel (Kelowna, BC) in the Final of the Twin Anchors Invitational, held October 2 - 5, 2009 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Koe won 6-5 over Rick Folk (Kelowna, BC) to advance to the championship game. of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Koe finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) 4-2, then won 8-7 against Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC) and 8-5 against Kerry Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Twin Anchors Invitational Championship title, Koe earned 18.800 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Koe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
