To advance to the championship game, deConinck Smith won 5-3 over Pat Simmons (Davidson, SK) in the semifinals of the 2010 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 7-4 over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
deConinck Smith finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, deConinck Smith defeated Randy Woytowich (Regina, SK) 8-2, then won 7-6 against Mike Eberle (Regina, SK). deConinck Smith went on to lose 6-5 against Jamie Schneider (Kronau, SK). deConinck Smith responded with a 4-3 win over Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK). deConinck Smith won 11-0 against Art Assman (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
