McEwen went on to lose 6-3 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). McEwen lost 7-3 to Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB). McEwen lost 7-5 to Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
