To advance to the championship game, Minnesota's Pete Fenson won 6-5 over Craig Brown (Madison, WI) in the semifinals of the 2011 Laphroaig Scotch Open in McFarland, Wisconsin, United States; and won 7-1 over Stephen Dropkin (Wayland, MA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Laphroaig Scotch Open in McFarland, Wisconsin, United States;
 
Minnesota's Pete Fenson finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Minnesota's Pete Fenson defeated Adam Kitchens (Devils Lake, ND) 6-4, then won 7-3 against Josh Bahr (bemidji, MN) and 6-1 against Matt Rudig (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Laphroaig Scotch Open Championship title, Minnesota's Pete Fenson earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $3,050CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 38th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 56.370 total points.
