Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC) lost 5-3 to Robert Schlender (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Twin Anchors Invitational, held September 30 - October 3, 2011 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Pierce won 5-4 over Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-1 over Alexey Tselousov (Moscow, RUS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Pierce finished 4-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pierce defeated Sean Beighton (Seattle, WA) 5-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Pierce responded with a 7-1 win over Brent Yamada (Kelowna, BC). Pierce went on to lose 5-4 against Tselousov. Pierce responded with a 5-0 win over Jay Wakefield (New Westminster, BC). Pierce won 8-5 against Dean Ross (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Twin Anchors Invitational, Pierce take home 6.510 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 56th place overall with 25.918 total points. Pierce ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.260 points earned so far this season.
