Laycock responded with a 7-2 win over Claudio Pescia (St. Gallen, SUI). Laycock won 5-3 against Al Schick (Regina, SK), then won 6-3 against McKee in their final qualifying round match.
 
Laycock earned 6.575 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 149.360 total points. Laycock ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 57.125 points earned so far this season.
