Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Norway's Linn Githmark 8-6, then went on to lose 12-2 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen. Muirhead lost 8-5 to Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE) where Muirhead responded with a 10-6 win over Czech Republic's Linda Klimova. Muirhead won 7-5 against Andrea Schopp (Fuessen, GER), then won 5-4 against Italy's Diana Gaspari and 7-4 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Muirhead won 9-6 against Ineta Maca (Riga, LAT), then won 10-7 against Switzerland's Binia Feltscher in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships Championship title, Muirhead earned 45.000 world rankings points, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 11th place overall with 146.358 total points. Muirhead ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 89.550 points earned so far this season.
