To advance to the championship game, Whittemore won 6-5 over Keely Brown (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Alberta SUBWAY Junior Championships in Medicine Hat, Alberta;
Whittemore finished 4-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whittemore lost 9-4 to Brown, then responded with a 11-5 win over Kellie Henricks (Grande Prairie, AB). Whittemore won 10-3 against Stephanie Powell (Sexsmith, AB), then won 4-3 against Megan Orr (Red Deer, AB). Whittemore went on to lose 9-8 against Peterman. Whittemore lost 11-6 to Athena Sturmay (Calmar, AB) where Whittemore responded with a 9-4 win over Courtney Missikewitz (Airdrie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
