Fujisawa responded with a 6-4 win over Italy's Diana Gaspari. Fujisawa went on to lose 10-3 against Erika Brown (Madison, USA). Fujisawa lost 9-4 to Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson. Fujisawa lost 10-3 to Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Fujisawa lost 8-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN) where Fujisawa responded with a 10-6 win over Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

Fujisawa earned 10.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 33rd place overall with 50.460 total points. Fujisawa ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.610 points earned so far this season.
