Marc LeCocq (Moncton, NB) finished 3-3 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, LeCocq defeated Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-3 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON). LeCocq lost 8-0 to Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON) where LeCocq responded with a 6-2 win over Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS). LeCocq won 7-6 against Bowie Abbis-Mills (Ottawa, ON). LeCocq went on to lose 5-2 against Jacobs in their final qualifying round match.

LeCocq earned 3.110 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 19 spots the World Ranking Standings into 102nd place overall with 10.074 total points. LeCocq ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.735 points earned so far this season.
