De Boer finished 7-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Boer defeated Dejia Zou (Harbin, CHN) 9-5, then won 9-4 against Hans Frauenlob (Naseby, NZ) and 9-8 against Morozumi. De Boer won 7-6 against Hugh Millikin (Sydney, AUS), then won 5-4 against Korea's Soo Hyuk Kim. De Boer went on to lose 9-7 against Morozumi. De Boer responded with a 8-5 win over Frauenlob. De Boer went on to lose 5-2 against Korea's Soo Hyuk Kim. De Boer responded with a 9-3 win over Zou. De Boer went on to lose 8-6 against Millikin in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Winter Games New Zealand, De Boer take home 7.500 world rankings points, moving up 39 spots the World Ranking Standings into 64th place overall with 14.250 total points. De Boer ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.500 points earned so far this season.
