Peter Burgess (Truro, NS) won 6-3 over James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) in the Final of the Curl Atlantic Championship, held September 12 - 15, 2013 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. To advance to the championship game, Burgess won 8-6 over Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2013 Curl Atlantic Championship in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island;
 
Burgess finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Burgess defeated Mark Dacey (Halifax, NS) 6-4, then went on to lose 6-2 against Grattan. Burgess responded with a 9-8 win over Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI). Burgess won 9-7 against Zack Eldridge (Oromocto, NB), then won 7-2 against Rod MacDonald (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Atlantic Championship Championship title, Burgess earned 5.250 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 110 spots the World Ranking Standings into 110th place overall with 6.500 total points. Burgess ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.250 points earned so far this season.
