Hastings finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Caitlin Romain (Vancouver, BC) 7-1, then won 12-1 against Shannon Kee (Waterloo, ON) and 7-4 against Rhonda Varnes (Ottawa, ON). Hastings won 9-5 against Allison Flaxey (Listowel, ON), then won 8-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Brantford, ON) and 8-2 against Clancy Grandy (Mississauga, ON). Hastings won 6-4 against Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON), then won 7-4 against Megan Balsdon (Mississauga, ON). Hastings went on to lose 9-5 against Middaugh in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Ontario Scotties Championship title, Hastings earned 11.040 world rankings points. Hastings move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 8.54 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 18th overall with 86.431 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
