Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA) won 10-6 over Madison Bear (Wayland, MA) in the Final of the USA Junior Womens National Championships, held January 17 - 24, 2015 in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
Christensen finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Christensen defeated Bear 7-4, then won 10-2 against Elizabeth Cousins (Wayland, MA) and 8-3 against Sidney Schroeder (Midland, MI). Christensen won 10-4 against Courtney Osbakken (Duluth, MN), then won 9-2 against Sarah Calcutt (Highland Park, IL) and 11-4 against Wisconsin's Tina Persinger. Christensen won 8-5 against Abigayle Lindgren (Grand Forks, ND). Christensen went on to lose 10-7 against Melissa Runing (Mankato, MN). Christensen responded with a 10-3 win over Cora Farrell (Fairbanks, AK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the USA Junior Womens National Championships Championship title, Christensen earned 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 16 spots the World Ranking Standings into 65th place overall with 20.463 total points. Christensen ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.700 points earned so far this season.
