Jacobs finished 10-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC) 7-4, then won 9-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 7-4 against Jim Cotter (Vernon/Kelowna, BC). Jacobs won 9-4 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT), then won 7-3 against Mark Kean (Fenelon Falls, ON) and 11-1 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI). Jacobs won 7-2 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB), then won 7-4 against Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB) and 5-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Jacobs went on to lose 6-5 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Jacobs responded with a 7-3 win over Simmons in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier, Jacobs take home 35.000 world rankings points. Jacobs move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 27.88 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 1st overall with 481.000 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
