Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT) 9-1, then went on to lose 6-3 against Julien Tremblay (Rimouski, QC). Fenson responded with a 6-2 win over Japan's Taisei Kanai. Fenson went on to lose 6-4 against Greg Blyde (St. John's, NL). Fenson lost 4-2 to Jeff Wanless (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
