Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) won 5-3 over Mark Kean (Stoney Creek, ON) in the Final of the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2, held September 8 - 13, 2015 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador. To advance to the championship game, Cotter won 9-2 over Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador; and won 5-4 over James Grattan (Oromocto , NB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Cotter finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) 7-2, then won 7-5 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) and 6-3 against Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL). Cotter won 4-3 against Chad Stevens (Halifax , NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 Championship title, Cotter earned 33.228 world rankings points along with the $9,200CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 16th place overall with 159.857 total points. Cotter ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 65.907 points earned so far this season.
