Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Homan responded with a 7-1 win over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NONT). Homan won 6-4 against Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
