Hess went on to lose 7-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Berne, SUI). Hess responded with a 8-4 win over Christian Bangerter (Bern, SUI). Hess won 7-3 against Simon Ellenberger (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Hess earned 8.181 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Swiss Curling League, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 143rd place overall with 27.874 total points. Hess ranks 173rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.350 points earned so far this season.
