Yannick Schwaller (Berne, SUI) finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR) 9-2, then won 6-4 against Tobias Thune (Dumfries, DEN). Schwaller went on to lose 5-4 against Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE). Schwaller responded with a 7-5 win over Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, CAN). Schwaller won 5-3 against Alexander Eremin (Moscow, RUS). Schwaller went on to lose 6-3 against Bendik Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR). Schwaller responded with a 7-2 win over Korea's Ki Jeong Lee. Schwaller won 10-4 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). Schwaller went on to lose 9-3 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Schwaller earned 10.004 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the World Junior Curling Championships. For week of the event schedule, Schwaller did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schwaller ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
