Manuel won 10-3 against Matthew Miller (Inuvik, NT), then won 9-2 against Matthew MacLean (O'Leary, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
Manuel earned 2.061 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Manuel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
