Adam Casey (Summerside, PEI) finished 6-0 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casey defeated Robert Campbell (Charlottetown, PEI) 6-3, then won 11-3 against Jamie Newson (Charlottetown, PEI) and 7-1 against Tyler Harris (Charlottetown, PEI). Casey won 7-6 against Newson, then won 8-2 against Tyler Smith (Crapaud, PEI) and 8-1 against Newson in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the PEI Tankard Championship title, Casey earned 5.775 world rankings points. Casey move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 3.551 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 20th overall with 239.177 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Casey ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 87.452 points earned so far this season.
