To advance to the championship game, Edin won 8-1 over Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2016 Swedish National Championship in Pitea, Sweden; and won 9-3 over Marcus Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Swedish National Championship in Pitea, Sweden;
 
Edin finished 2-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Olof Esbjoernsson (Sundbyberg, SWE) 12-0, then won 7-2 against Marcus Hagloef (Borlange, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
