Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 10-2 over Gustav Eskilsson (Skelleftea, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish National Championship, held January 27 - 31, 2016 in Pitea, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 8-1 over Rasmus Wrana (Harnosand, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2016 Swedish National Championship in Pitea, Sweden; and won 9-3 over Marcus Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Swedish National Championship in Pitea, Sweden;

Edin finished 2-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Olof Esbjoernsson (Sundbyberg, SWE) 12-0, then won 7-2 against Marcus Hagloef (Borlange, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Swedish National Championship Championship title, Edin earned 24.581 world rankings points, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.514 after improving upon their best so far this season.
