In their opening game, Combe lost 7-5 to Robin Brydone (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 9-4 win over Stuart Taylor (Glasgow, SCO). Combe won 9-3 against Graham Shaw (Edinburgh, SCO), then won 8-2 against John McCall (Glasgow, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Championship - Qualifiers, Combe take home 2.475 world rankings points.
