Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) qualified for the 2017 Meridian Canadian Open playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-2 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI).

Harrison finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Harrison defeated Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) 5-4, then won 6-4 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Harrison went on to lose 6-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Harrison lost 8-4 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) where Harrison responded with a 7-3 win over Homan in their final qualifying round match.

Harrison earned 34.712 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Meridian Canadian Open. Harrison move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 33.111 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 18th overall with 314.887 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
