In their opening game, Young defeated Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB) 8-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Kaileigh Morrison (Calgary, AB). Young responded with a 8-0 win over Subasthika Thangadrai (Cochrane, AB). Young won 8-5 against Kelsie Leeder (Edmonton, AB), then won 4-3 against Jared Scharff (Edmonton, AB) and 9-3 against Rebecca Geary (St. Albert, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
