Johan Nygren (Goteberg, SWE) finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nygren lost 8-0 to Emil Ring (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 7-5 win over Robin Ahlberg (Uppsala, SWE). Nygren won 8-6 against Kevin Mattsson (Ostersund, SWE), then won 7-3 against Petter Moller (Helsingborg, SWE) and 8-1 against Johan Engqvist (Harnosand, SWE). Nygren won 8-4 against Ludvig Kohn (Gavle, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Swedish Junior Mens Championship Championship title, Nygren earned 6.983 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Nygren did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nygren ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
