Tony Poelder (Jonkoping, SWE) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . Poelder lost 7-6 to Joel Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Poelder responded with a 8-5 win over Erik Johansson (Karlstad, SWE). Poelder went on to lose 5-4 against Andreas Adersteg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Poelder earned 1.211 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 34 spots the World Ranking Standings into 419th place overall with 3.180 total points. Poelder ranks 408th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.211 points earned so far this season.
