Marcus Hagloef (Gavle, SWE) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hagloef defeated Lars Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) 6-4, then went on to lose 5-2 against Kristian Lindstroem (Sundbyberg, SWE). Hagloef lost 5-3 to Johan Hedin (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Hagloef responded with a 6-3 win over Tobias Lundmark (Umea, SWE). Hagloef went on to lose 8-2 against Rickard Hallstroem (Jamtland, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Hagloef earned 1.211 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 31 spots the World Ranking Standings into 428th place overall with 2.967 total points. Hagloef ranks 409th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.211 points earned so far this season.
