To advance to the championship game, Englot won 10-4 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Meridian Canadian Open in Camrose, Alberta; and won 6-5 over Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Meridian Canadian Open in Camrose, Alberta;
Englot finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Englot defeated Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) 9-2, then won 7-3 against Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB). Englot went on to lose 9-4 against Flaxey. Englot lost 8-1 to Carey where Englot responded with a 6-4 win over Nina Roth (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Meridian Canadian Open, Englot take home 65.567 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize.
