Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) won 7-4 over Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in the Final of the Aberdeen International Curling Championship, held March 16 - 18, 2018 in Aberdeen, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 9-6 over Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland; and won 7-4 over Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;
 
Mouat finished 4-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) 6-4, then won 4-3 against Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER) and 7-4 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). Mouat won 5-3 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Mouat went on to lose 5-2 against Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Aberdeen International Curling Championship Championship title, Mouat earned 36.542 world rankings points along with the $10,040CDN first prize cheque. Mouat move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 28.269 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 15th overall with 393.864 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Mouat ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 285.286 points earned so far this season.
