Kim lost 6-5 to Hugh Millikin (Sydney, AUS) where Kim responded with a 12-4 win over Qatar's Nabeel Alyafei in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Pacific-Asia Curling Championship Championship title, Kim earned 14.963 world rankings points.
