To advance to the championship game, Mallais won 6-5 over Jennifer Armstrong (Saint John, NB) in the semifinals of the 2018 New Brunswick Scotties in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada;
Mallais finished 3-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallais lost 7-4 to Armstrong, then responded with a 7-6 win over Robichaud. Mallais won 8-1 against Shannon Tatlock (Moncton, NB), then won 7-5 against Samantha Crook (Sackville, NB). Mallais went on to lose 5-2 against Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Scotties, Mallais take home 4.538 world rankings points, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 131st place overall with 25.011 total points.
