Koe finished 11-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) 9-4, then won 8-3 against Scott McDonald (Kingston, ON) and 12-7 against Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Koe won 7-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN), then won 9-5 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) and 13-2 against Dave St. Louis (Iqaluit, NU). Koe won 7-5 against Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS), then won 7-6 against Bottcher and 6-5 against Mike McEwen (West St. Paul, MB). Koe won 9-3 against Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-5 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Championship title, Koe earned 75.026 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 46.142 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 431.406 points earned so far this season.
