Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) finished 5-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) 6-5, then won 12-0 against Min Ji Kim (chuncheon city, KOR) and 9-1 against Nina Roth (Chaska, USA). Homan won 8-2 against Sidorova. Homan went on to lose 8-2 against Kim. Homan responded with a 8-2 win over Roth in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling World Cup Suzhou Championship title, Homan earned 60.887 world rankings points along with the $35,848CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 433.181 total points. Homan ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 60.887 points earned so far this season.
