Smeltzer lost 7-4 to Vincent Roberge (Levis, QC) where Smeltzer responded with a 9-7 win over Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI). Smeltzer won 10-4 against Trygg Jensen (Whitehorse, YK), then won 10-6 against Sam Steep (Galt, ON) and 15-4 against Javen Komaksiutiksak (Iqaluit, NU) in their final qualifying round match.
Smeltzer earned 7.152 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Smeltzer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Smeltzer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
