To advance to the championship game, Carey won 6-4 over Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg , RUS) in the semifinals of the 2019 Booster Juice Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-3 over Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Booster Juice Shoot-Out in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
Carey finished 5-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Sherry Just (Saskatoon, SK) 6-5, then won 6-5 against Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) and 8-3 against Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC). Carey won 7-3 against Melissa Pierce (Edmonton, AB), then won 6-4 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
