Cotter finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated Yusuke Morozumi (Nagano, JPN) 6-5, then won 4-3 against Richard. Cotter went on to lose 7-6 against Brad Wood (Penticton, BC). Cotter responded with a 8-1 win over Erik Colwell (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, Cotter take home 17.024 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN prize. Cotter move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 7.387 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 35th overall with 118.282 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
