Cotter finished 4-2 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter lost 6-2 to Kody Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then responded with a 8-3 win over Pengpeng Cao (Beijing, CHN). Cotter won 6-5 against Saskatchewan's Jason Jacobson. Cotter went on to lose 6-4 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK). Cotter responded with a 5-2 win over Brent Gedak (Estevan, SK). Cotter won 7-2 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Cotter earned 15.632 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the College Clean Restoration Curling Classic. Cotter move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 5.995 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 36th overall with 122.885 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
