Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO) run at the 2020 Scottish Curling Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-2 loss to Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). of the 2020 Scottish Curling Championships in Perth, Scotland;
Paterson finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paterson defeated Murray Young (Forfar, SCO) 9-2, then went on to lose 7-3 against Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO). Paterson responded with a 9-2 win over Cameron McNay (Lockerbie, SCO). Paterson went on to lose 10-1 against Mouat. Paterson responded with a 7-3 win over Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO). Paterson won 8-3 against Cameron Bryce (Kelso, SCO), then won 9-3 against Luke Carson (Lanarkshire, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
Paterson earned 30.160 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Scottish Curling Championships. Paterson move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 19.492 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 12th overall with 228.809 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
