Hopson/Tippett Reaches 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship Semifinals

Erica Hopson/Kevin Tippett (Ottawa, ON) run at the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-1 loss to Catherine Liscumb/Chris Liscumb (Ilderton, ON). of the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Brockville, Ontario, Canada; Hopson/Tippett advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-6 win over Kimberly Tuck/Wayne Tuck Jr. (Ilderton, ON). of the 2020 Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship in Brockville, Ontario, Canada;

Hopson/Tippett finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hopson/Tippett defeated Kate Nicholson/James Hickling (Goderich, ON) 10-2, then won 8-5 against Nicole Westlund Stewart/Tyler Stewart (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) and 9-5 against Abbey Salari/Duncan McDonald (Grimsby, ON). Hopson/Tippett went on to lose 7-6 against Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON). Hopson/Tippett responded with a 11-7 win over McKenna McGovern/Sam Steep (Forest, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Hopson/Tippett earned 13.919 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Ontario Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship. For week 32 of the event schedule, Hopson/Tippett did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hopson/Tippett ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
