To advance to the championship game, Kim won 8-7 over Sebastien Robillard (New Westminster, BC) in the semifinals of the 2021 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-1 over Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Kim finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Brent Yamada (Kamloops, BC) 5-4, then won 9-4 against Connor Deane (New Westminster, BC). Kim went on to lose 6-3 against Montgomery. Kim responded with a 7-4 win over Cameron de Jong (Penticton, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Kamloops Crown of Curling Championship title, Kim earned 17.089 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. Kim move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 7.808 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 36th overall with 79.643 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.205 points earned so far this season.
