Paul Moffatt (Kitchener, ON) lost 7-2 to Sam Mooibroek (Kitchener, ON) in the Final of the Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic, held November 19 - 21, 2021 at the Brant Curling Club in Brantford, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Moffatt won 6-5 over Fraser Reid (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals of the 2021 Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic in Brantford, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-5 over Alex Champ (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) in the quarterfinals.
Moffatt finished 3-2 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Moffatt defeated Sam Steep (Seaforth, ON) 3-2, then went on to lose 8-5 against Jason Camm (Navan, ON). Moffatt lost 7-1 to Mark Kean (Toronto, ON) where Moffatt responded with a 9-6 win over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON). Moffatt won 6-2 against Steep in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic, Moffatt take home 15.775 world rankings points along with the $2,100CDN prize, moving up 36 spots the World Ranking Standings into 108th place overall with 35.408 total points. Moffatt ranks 57th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.108 points earned so far this season.
