Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) lost 8-3 to Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN) in the Final of the Seattle Olympic Trials Qualifier, held September 3 - 6, 2021 in Seattle, Washington. To advance to the championship game, Dunnam won 7-4 over Luc Violette (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2021 Seattle Olympic Trials Qualifier in Seattle, Washington;

Dunnam finished 3-0 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunnam defeated Mike Siggins (Phoenix , AZ) 9-2, then won 8-7 against Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) and 7-5 against Ruohonen in their final qualifying round match.
