Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN) won 8-3 over Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in the Final of the Seattle Olympic Trials Qualifier, held September 3 - 6, 2021 in Seattle, Washington.

Ruohonen finished 3-1 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ruohonen defeated Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) 6-5, then won 7-3 against Todd Birr (Blaine, MN). Ruohonen went on to lose 7-5 against Dunnam. Ruohonen responded with a 6-2 win over Greg Persinger (Fairbanks, AK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Seattle Olympic Trials Qualifier Championship title, Ruohonen earned 23.610 world rankings points. For week 6 of the event schedule, Ruohonen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 15th place on the World Ranking Standings with 103.813 total points. Ruohonen ranks 387th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
