To advance to the championship game, Koe won 6-5 over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2022 Prism Flow Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-1 over Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Prism Flow Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
Koe finished 3-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Morozumi 9-2, then won 7-2 against Colton Flasch (Saskatoon , SK) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 6-2 against Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Prism Flow Red Deer Curling Classic, Koe take home 38.500 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize, remaining in 6th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 11 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 145.250 points earned so far this season.
