Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) won 6-5 over Magnus Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) in the Final of the Swiss Cup Basel, held November 4 - 6, 2022 in Basel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Whyte won 5-4 over Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2022 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland; and won 7-3 over Yves Stocker (Zug, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 Swiss Cup Basel in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Whyte finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Andreas Harstad (Oppdal, NOR) 7-6, then won 6-2 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) and 3-2 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneva, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Swiss Cup Basel Championship title, Whyte earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $12,242CDN first prize cheque. Whyte move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 19.66 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 10th overall with 198.860 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
